We have just returned from a brilliant holiday at the Riu Arecas. The hotel is set in a pleasant area (by Tenerife standards) and is modern, bright and spacious with two good sized pools, great facilities and in pleasant grounds.
The rooms are very well appointed and are kept spotlessly clean by a daily maid service. The food is excellent in both the main restaurant and the pool bar.
What really made the holiday for us were the excellent staff. They could not be more helpful and pleasant.
Go the Riu Arecas you will really enjoy the stay.

First class hotel, excellent food.
Not what we expected of Tenerife, given the impression before we went that it was the Blackpool of the Canaries. But not a bit of it, Costa Adeje it quite upmarket, booked again for next year.

Stayed at the Riu Arecas last year 08 and due to return Jun 09.
The hotel is excellent and a couple of metres from the El Duque beach.
A short 15 min walk along the sea front will bring you into Playa Fanabe with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.
