When booked we asked Thomson for a place where there was not many kids when we arrived it was absolutely overrun with them we complained, also about the room as it was filthy admittedly the rep arranged for it to be properly cleaned our feet were black just walking across the floor.
Food was Luke warm and therefore we ate out a fair bit which cost us extra as we were all inclusive and it was good to get away from kids!!!
On the fourth day we were in reception and noticed a rat running around, well that that was the final straw.
I would rate Los Zocos at a one star, never again and yes I have plenty to say when Thomson get my letter ...holiday was totally miss sold !!!!

We had a great holiday here, the apartments weren't great but clean. The location was brill, a stones throw from beach, bars, shops & restaurants all local.
If you walked along beach front you come to lots and lots of excellent restaurants and shops this is our favourite holiday resort we love it the beach is really lovely, clean and you can wash your feet in the showers at top of beach great idea. Los Zocos pools (it has 2) are really good we went in August so was a bit packed sometimes hard to find a seat! Same old story, anywhere you go in August, plenty for kids going on and adults too, we preferred daytime on complex as when we went the smoking ban wasn't in place in Spain and as we don't smoke the lounge bar was like a smoky ashtray couldn't breath as my son has asthma we steered clear but now they have the ban should be ok.
Complex is quite old was there when we went in 1997 but as its a good base to visit other places on island and one of the cheapest for self catering id consider going again. Visit Teguise Sunday market lots of bargains, also Costa Calero near Puerto Del Carmen a lovely newish resort situated around a harbour where you can feed the fish they are huge and tons of them, kids loved it. Visited Playa Blanca, lovely resort, drove all around island was 3rd time we had visited Lanzarote and would go again thinking about booking for next year, great island take no notice when people say Lanzagrotty!cheek of it much better then Tenerife!
