Eryphilli Studios, Katelios
Surrounded by olive trees and against a backdrop of mountains and countryside, the Eryphilli is superb accommodation, perfect for that relaxing break.
The Eryphilli Studios have a lovely swimming pool with views of the mountains and a poolside snack bar. The studios are simple, but tastefully decorated with twin or double beds, kitchen, shower, toilet and a private balcony or terrace.
Apartments have similar facilities with a double bedroom and two sofa beds in the lounge. Some rooms have a hairdryer.

Roads are generally good, and there are many places of interest. Also you will find an abundance of lovely villages and beaches. The scenery is spectacular and unspoilt, which is down to the island covered with dense vegetation.
We stayed at the Eryphilli Studios in Katelios, and it was quite simply wonderful. Nicos the owner can't do enough to help, and he runs a lovely hotel, which is clean, neat, and very relaxing. Nicos is assisted by his bother Peter, who trained as a chef with the Greek Navy. He is quite accomplished, and his evening meals are invariably good.
The hotel is ideal for couples who enjoy a peaceful holiday. There is a decent sized swimming pool and plenty of sun beds, which are available any time of the day. It is situated about 1km from the village, where you will find some good fish restaurants, and a few shops. Katelios is a relaxing place, where time just drifts by. After an evening meal it is just so nice have a glass of chilled Robola whilst watching the sea lap against the beach.
We loved everything about Kefalonia and enjoyed it so much that we are going back again in June 2007.

A very peaceful place to stay with beautiful views of the mountains as you lazy around the pool. Very helpful friendly staff. Food available at the pool bar.
Apartments are nice but basic and were cleaned almost every day. Self catering facilities limited but there was a kettle and toaster!
1Km from village but there is a supermarket at the end of the road and 2 more in the village. Bakery just down the road and also Jerry's taverna - great value for money, big meals and lovely food. Very nice Vegetarian meze. More tavernas down by the sea.
Car hire available in the village. Good walks to Skala and Pastra.

Excellent place to stay - clean, well run and nothing too much trouble for Nico or his wife. Poolside bar offering good bar snacks.
Persas taverna just a stroll away - the food there is excellent.
Can use the pools at Katelios studios and spend time talking to Aris and Loula, Mythos pool or Gallini - all have bar snacks/salads available.
