Had a great stay at the Makadi Palace hotel with many things being excellent about our stay.
Pool: The swimming pool at Makadi Palace is superb! Large and luxurious. Definitely of a 5* standard.
Rooms: The rooms were very nicely decorated and furnished, although it didn't have the 'WOW' factor as you entered them. Many rooms are not finished off to the standard expected of a 5*. All in all, rooms were elegantly furnished, but didn't quite live up to our expectations of a 5* room. They were probably more of a 4* standard.
Restaurants, food and drink: A choice of 11 lovely restaurants will mean you are spoilt for choice! From Lebanese to Italian to Thai. The only criticism was the extremely poor animation team at the hotel, which didn't bother us because we had lots of laughs with other people we had met.
Building work is still going on at the palace, although it wasn't noticeable to us throughout our stay.
All in all, Makadi Palace is a lovely hotel, although is not quite finished off completely. Currently the hotel is of a 4*plus standard, however in a couple of years time it will surely be a 5* (possibly even a 5*plus), and would be superior place to stay in Makadi Bay and Egypt.
