Great hotel with the staff working hard to make your holiday perfect. The newly opened Asimina Suites Hotel (formally the Paphian Bay Hotel) has beautiful guestrooms that are very spacious.
Beautifully maintained gardens with lots of space for sunbeds. Food was very good, especially magnificent breakfast choice. It is a little bit out of Paphos but there is quite a good bus service and the red open top tourist bus also passes by the hotel.

As the mentioned earlier the Asimina Suite is the result of a complete renovation of an old three-star hotel (Paphian Bay Hotel). One finds, however, no evidence of the old hotel. Very comfortable rooms, nearly all the rooms face the sea. All in immaculate condition. Very clean and well maintained. We had booked half board. The guest age is around 30-60 years.
Located directly on the beach, but there are more beautiful sections of the beach in Cyprus. Lara Turtle Bay or Lady's Mile Beach are highly recommended. With a car you can explore further. We have done well in 10 days 2000 km and have explored almost everything on the island. The airport of Paphos is only 15km away. Evening entertainment was in the hotel bar, but all the nightlife is in the centre of Paphos, about 2km away.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Very attentive service as previously described. Housekeeping at the hotel is perfect.
Breakfast offers you freshly squeezed orange juice, as much as you wanted without additional cost. Several dishes on the day were available in the evenings, with show cooking leg of lamb, pork, beef, etc. We have also always our desired outside table. Prices are reasonable on drinks.
For Rooms consisted of quality furniture, very good beds. We had a room on the second floor with a sea view. The room is big you could bath and shower at the same time which turned out to be very pleasant. Rooms also had a safe, minibar, coffee / espresso maker, electric kettle, two flat screen TV's, telephone, etc.
We have booked our flight and hotel separately, so you can break out of the traditional of 7 or 14 day. We had a rental car for the entire time which we could explore the entire island. If the hotel manages to keep this standard or level, it will advance to one of the top hotels in Paphos. However here also the price / performance ratio must be considered. On departure, I was able to browse the guestbook at the reception and found only positive messages.

On arriving at the Airport we were greeted by our taxi which was booked through the hotel, the journey was 20 mins and the taxi was a large air-conditioned Volvo driven by a friendly gent called Andreas who had excellent local knowledge and gave us a running commentary throughout the short journey on all the land marks we passed and the weather reports for the week ahead, the journey cost 27 Euros, which we later found out was very reasonable.
When we got to the Asimina we were met by a smartly dressed porter who unloaded Andreas's car and took our luggage to our room. Whilst this was happening we were taken to a private room and given a briefing on the hotels facilities and because we had missed the evening meal given a lunch voucher for one day through the week. Much to our delight we given Champagne and canopies to eat during the briefing and even given the option for the hotel staff to fill in the forms on our behalf, encase we were tired from the flight.
The rooms Suites had a living area with flat screen TV with various Sky channels, Sky news came in handy as the ash cloud was looming around the UK! The bedroom had a king size bed and another TV with Sky. The bathroom was a large marble room with shower, twin sinks and bath. The only words I can use to describe the rooms is immaculate, they were cleaned daily, which didn't just involve sheets and a tidy up. There was fresh toiletries in the bathroom daily, fresh water, and the mini bar restocked. They even put bedside water in the rooms and put your complementary slippers at the end of the bed when you left your room on an evening to have Dinner.
The Breakfast was a buffet, but I've never had a buffet like it at any hotel before. It was just amazing, don't really know where to start. There were fresh fruits all beautifully displayed and prepared, a selection of yogurts, jams, cheeses, and breads. There was a row of different smoked fish, omelettes, and eggs cooked fresh to your liking and filling. This may sound like a normal all inclusive buffet but this was in a different league.
The hotel had a number of different facilities to experience through the day, Pool indoor and out. Gym, Health spa, tennis courts. I personally only went to the gym in a mornings. The gym was well equipped, not a huge gym but everything you would want in a week away. There were running machines, bicycles, resistance machines and dumbbells that ranged from 1kg to 28kg. The gym was air-conditioned but did get very hot and this was in the morning so it must have been very hot in the afternoon.
In a morning the view from the balcony was amazing with the pool and sea just behind it. Early morning round the pool was a hive of activity with people working to make the pool and gardens as clean as possible. There was hotel staff cleaning the pool, seeing to the gardens, even polishing the pool ladders and bridge.
Evening meals were served from 19.00 to 23.00 and consisted of choosing from a buffet, carvery or À la carte menu. Or all 3 if you wished! The meals again were excellent, and a good choice between different meats, fish and vegetable dishes. One dish that stuck in my mind was the seafood Saganaki which I have had before but this was by far the nicest I have had. If you like deserts you would not be disappointed as people with sweet tooth's were well catered for!
If you fancied getting away from the hotel the harbour was a 40 minute walk away, were there were shops and restaurants. The harbour could be reached by either road or a path running along the beach. The bus to the harbour run about every 15 mins and was 2 Euros. The places we dined at the harbour were lovely, Theo's and the Captains View.
During the week I stayed at the Asimina I could not fault the staff, they were very helpful and really went out of your way to pamper you, weather you were dining or sunbathing there was always someone there to assist you.
The hotel its self was spotlessly clean and the fit and finish of the rooms was amazing, if the Asimina can keep up this type of experience I will defiantly be going back!
The stay was pricey but with you certainly got what you paid for which was excellent service in beautiful surroundings.

We stayed at the Asimina suites shortly after opening following refurbishment. We were part of a group that went with Jet2 and couldn't fault anything about the Asimina hotel or Jet2 who looked after everyone brilliantly when the flight was cancelled for 1 day due to the ash cloud.
In fact the hotel was top 5 star quality, from the rooms to the food served in the restaurant. Paphos harbour is worth a visit, both day and night, and is just over half hour nice walk or 2 mins in a taxi.
Flew from Leeds Bradford airport, which was a first for me as would normally fly from Manchester or Liverpool, would recommend the airport as Jet2 has its own check in area and was probably the quickest we've ever checked in anywhere and also on return you landed and was on your way home in no time.
Excellent all round
