Hotel Ariadne Beach, Stalis

This delightful hotel is located just 50 yards from the beach and 100 yards from the resort centre.

My friend and I have recently returned from a fantastic one week stay at the Ariadne Beach Hotel in Stalis Crete.
Having booked a standard room last September with the tour operator we were surprised to be offered a superior room at an extra cost of 105 euros, any doubts that we had about the extra cost were soon dispelled when we saw the superb views overlooking the gardens, pool and sea. I can only say it was well worth it!!! The room was cleaned daily and towels and bed linen were changed frequently. The swimming pool was also very clean, in fact I have stayed in some 4 star hotels were cleaning of both rooms and pool has left a lot to be desired, I certainly had no worries on that score at the Ariadne Beach.
The hotel gardens led directly onto the beach which was beautiful and clean and Armando the sunbed man always made sure there were enough sunbeds and parasols both around the pool and on the beach for everyone and at 1.50 euros each we thought it was a bargain. We had no complaints about the food either and although we didn't fancy trying the octopus that was on the menu one night we didn't go hungry as there were ample alternatives.
On the Friday of our stay the hotel staged a barbecue with traditional Greek dancing for entertainment. After demonstrations everyone was invited to join in. The atmosphere was very friendly as everybody danced around the pool like one big happy family, it was also nice to see the owners and family there to oversee proceedings.
During the week it also became apparent that some guests had stayed at the hotel before as they were greeted with recognition by the staff. The only complaint that we both had was having to leave!!!!!
We would definitely return.
