Having never been to Crete before I was not sure what to expect. It turns out this was one of the best holidays I have ever been on.
The hotel is perfect. It was very well kept and the staff were extremely friendly/helpful.
The hotel has a good size pool and pool bar if you enjoy laying in the sun all day. But if you are a bit more adventurous then I highly recommend hiring a car and exploring the rest of the island.
The buffet served at the hotel every night is great for trying the different types of Greek food. In fact we ate there most nights!
The hotel is in a very quiet area and is a 10 minute bus (air conditioned coach) drive to the nearest lively location. There are some really good local Tavernas (especially the first one you hit if you walk left out of the hotel and down the road for 5 minutes).
There are some amazing beaches over there, some of the best I have ever seen. The highlight of the holiday was booking a day trip to the Samari Gorge. But you might want to save that 10 mile walk until the end of your holiday!
We liked it so much at this hotel that we have decided to book up again for next May. This is a good time of year to go as it is quite hot but the flowers and plants are still alive.
