We have been coming to this hotel for six years and stayed 10 times. But this time we found some of the bar staff very miserable, in fact a few are damn right rude.
The entertainment has gone downhill too, some nights there was only 30 people in the entertainment room, so no atmosphere.
The food has greatly improved and no sign of the bug that goes round here sometimes. The cleaners keep the place tidy and the restaurant staff are ok, but we won't be going back again, which is a shame because we have had some brilliant holidays here in the past.

The Hotel Regente is well situated and is an immaculately clean holiday hotel. There are bars and shops within reach of a couple of minutes. The Regente lies about 10 minutes from the beach and promenade.
Food is good and hot, curry, steak / liver, roast beef, Yorkshire puddings, English breakfast with black pudding are just some of the items on the menu. Sunbeds around the pool are a bit narrow, but you never had a problem betting one. The pool was very cold and was in shadow of another building at the back of the hotel. There is a sun terrace with a few chairs.
The entertainment program is the best I've ever seen for all inclusive, two good performances every night. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The rooms are somewhat small; we had a nice view from our balcony of the mountains on the 7th floor.
My only complaint is the beds, it was like sleeping on the floor, they were so hard. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

We have just returned from the Regente and we had a great holiday. Rooms were fairly small, but were adequate for a 7 day holiday.
The food was fantastic, there was much choice and all very English, like roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, roast smoked ham, steak, liver, every night. The puddings were also great, with lots of different cakes, pies and puddings, jams and lots of fruit, the breakfast was always the same but much to choose from, 5 different types of cereals, full English breakfast, lots of fruit, etc.
The hotel is in a good location, close to on the beach and in the pubs. The only downside to our holiday was a sunbed at the pool which was small.
The hotel offers all-inclusive, we found that many families staying in the hotel all day and reserved all the sunbeds and didn't use them.
There are plenty of regular buses, with, excellent connectivity around the region. Benidorm is a great place for a holiday and was really hot (low to mid 30) while we were there at the end of August.Rating: | ||

Were in this hotel, the 25th November to 9 December, a six-strong group, we have all been sick, my father suffered the most, and everyone seemed everyone know about the virus except for the Thomson tour guide
The staff were generally good, they cleaned the foyer and stairs day and night. Our first week, the maid was excellent, the second week not as good. We didn't get our bed linen changed either.
A waitress had been seen wiping her nose with her hand and helped to position tables yuk!
We have been here four times, usually ok, but never again.

The rooms at the Regente were clean and the housekeeping maids arrived daily with clean towels.
Food at this hotel was great, such a variety of different food laid out 3 times a day! They would even come out every 5 minutes to check there was enough food and were very pleasant.
The staff at the hotel really looked after the kids. The reception staff were also very friendly. Be aware, if you don't want lots of children around you while on holiday the the Regente is possibly not for you. There are lots of children at this hotel!
The only real downside I could find about this hotel is the attitude of the bar staff, who appeared to be obsessed with tips! Take my advice, give a reasonably generous tip within the first couple of days, and your drinks service will be good throughout your fortnights holiday!
