Riu Garoe Hotel, Puerto De La Cruz
RIU Garoe Hotel, Puerto de la Cruz and only a few yards from the beautiful Botanical Gardens. The hotel is just a half a mile from the beach.
The hotel comprises of 190 rooms, which are equipped with all the latest facilities such as air conditioning, mini bar etc.
Recreation facilities the the Garoe include squash, tennis, billiards and table tennis. You can dine at the restaurant of the RIU Garoe, which serves cold and warm starters along with buffet dishes.

Accommodation was excellent and the facilities were exactly as described. We went with Thomson and I have to say that the reps were not very present as this was not the prime choice for British visitors. Indeed there were a few criticisms.
Very few of the hotel staff could speak English or French (my wife's nationality). Although the food was outstanding they were reluctant to put British visitors on the late dinner setting as this was reserved for Spanish guests. The entertainment was okay for a laugh but as the hotel was recommended for couples without children then this was not a surprise.
Location was quiet and not too energetic a walk down to the sea front. Taxi only back though for any non athletes. We would both happily return to this hotel as a couple. It would be little fun for children and anyone who does not have a very basic grasp of Spanish.
