Natura Palace, Hotel, Playa Blanca

The Natura Palace Hotel is owned & operated by the Hipotels group. Located in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote the hotel offers a level of comfort that exceeds other hotels in the Canary Islands.

Marvel at the large reception & bar area as you enter the hotel for the first time. Sit in the bar and imagine how difficult it must have been, getting all the angles of the complex roof structure just perfect?

The Natura Palace has 269 large rooms & 2 exclusive seafront villas.

"We Would Go Back Again To This Hotel"

This was the first time we have stayed at the Natura Palace and we had a wonderful time.

The reception area is lovely with glass running from the floor to the roof on 1 side and also a grand staircase on the other. The reception staff were very helpful at all times. The rooms were lovely and spacious with plenty of room and from the balcony I could see the pool, sea and Fuerteventura. The pool area was keep lovely and clean and the gardens were well cared for, Towels for sunbeds started to be put out at about 8.30am so not as bad as I have known it.

The animation team done activities like darts, water polo, football etc during the day if you wanted to take part. The nearest supermarkets are the spar or Hyer Dino, They are more in town so does either require a cab for 4 Euros to get to or a walk, they have everything you could want. There are lots to see and do on Lanzarote, the local bus service is very good and we went all the way to the capital Arrecife using it. We also went over to Fuerteventura under our own steam using the Fred. Olsen boat which goes from Playa Blanca to the capital Corralejo again a great day out well worth the effort.

We completed the South of the island tour which included going to the Timanfaya National Park which is amazing to see and the landscape breath taking, they completed 3 demonstrations to show you the power of the volcano underneath you. Explore the north - which takes you to the valley of a thousand palms and the caves and tunnels of the green caves (this is not for the less able) Rancho Texas Night - was a fab night out, the live band are great and they get you up line dancing etc then there was the BBQ and free flowing booze. The last trip we did was the Catlanza catamaran, It's like you are a VIP for the day we choose to go on the adult only day, they let you have jet ski rides, Swimming in the sea and there is also a little slide you can use (for the big kids among us). I also decided to do some Scuba diving while out there and went to Dive college Lanzarote, they were fantastic there are loads of different dives to do shore dives, boat dives, courses for all levels and only 2 mins from the hotel.

The entertainment at the hotel ranged for very good to average, The ABBA group were the best. All in all, a great holiday and we would go back again to this hotel.

"A First Class Hotel"

Just returned from a week's stay at Natura Palace. A first class hotel set in beautiful gardens on the sea front. It took us 25mins to walk to the centre of Playa Blanca, but you can catch the bus for 1.15 EUROS if you didn't want to walk, every half hour on the main road, at the front of hotel.

Market day is on a Weds & Sat at the Rubicon Marina, well worth picking up a bargain. There is a small beach next to the hotel, along with a diving school. For 60Euros each you can have a session for 2 hours, a fantastic experience, the fish will feed out of your hands. We walked up the volcano at the front of the hotel, fantastic views of the whole resort, although it was very windy at the top.

The pool area was pleasant we could always find a lounger. The pools were never crowded although the water was pretty cold. There was a lifeguard there at times. Can't complain about the food, there was a huge choice, something different every night, tuna steak, shark, cavier, lobster to name just a few, my son was in dessert heaven! He would help himself to 4 or 5 puddings. Breakfast was the same with so much choice, even bucks fizz!

All the staff were excellent. The rooms were modern and comfortable. Maids cleaned the room every day. Our room overlooked the pool with Fuerteventura in the distance. The only negative thing was our choice of English Channels on the TV (3 news channels & the travel channel). Safes were down at reception 11 Euros for the week. Nightly entertainment was mixed, the only evening we didn't venture into the Salon Yaiza was bingo night, not our cup of tea. The drinks prices at the hotel were comparable to local bars, cocktails between 5-7 Euros.

We recommend Plus Cars if you want to hire a car. Nearest was based by Iberostar Hotel. We had a Mercedes A class, 3 days for 100Euros included all insurances in that price. Timanfaya Park is well worth a visit 8Euros includes a bus tour around the lava landscape, it's like being on the moon. At the bottom of the volcano, you can take a camel ride for 6Euros. The hotel is well worth visiting you would not be disappointed.

The hotel never seemed overcrowded, you could always find somewhere quiet within the complex. We would highly recommend Natura Palace to anyone, couples and families of any age. YOU WOULD BE GARRENTEED TO HAVE A RELAXING AND ENJOYABLE HOLIDAY.

"Hotel Ticks All Our Boxes"

This is the 5th time we have visited this hotel and have never been disappointed!

The staff are fantastic, very polite and helpful, the food on this visit was very good, it has always been good but this time was even better. Playa Blanca is easily accessible for an evening out or for a bit of shopping. Rubicon marina is also easily accessible and doesn't take as long to get there as you may think. Best idea is to take the resort bus (excellent although one day we had a Michael Schumacher driving!) from the top of the road, runs every 30 mins and walk back.

Coffee at the ferry port cafe was very good, and cheap. The only moan I have is that the air-conditioning seemed to cease to function after about 2 am, this made the rooms very warm and it is not advisable to open the doors at night due to the Mozzies. I also think that the Piano bar music needs updating. We've been listening to the same stuff too long!

Outbound flight from Manchester was 2.5hrs late and return flight was 4 hours late which seems to defeat the object of choosing suitable flight timings, at extra cost, in the first place! However, I think we will return again as this hotel ticks all our boxes, we feel very safe and comfortable here.

"Hotel Is Lavish "

Just returned from this holiday and didn't want to come back. Although we were the youngest there (40's), it was total chill.

The hotel is lavish and the food is out of this world. We even had champagne each morning with our 3 course breakfast. The toasters were slow and two more are needed, but the staff are wonderful. The hotel and pools were spot on, the best hotel pool I've swam in.

The rooms are spacious and although you only get one pillow it's not really a groan. There is no tea making facilities and room service charge 3 Euros to bring a pot of tea. The room had a lovely view over to the sea and beyond to Fuerteventura.

There is plenty of slow walks, either way from the hotel and a nice promenade walk into Playa Blanca. But if you want to travel to best beach a taxi will cost you 3 Euros. We found a newly opened fantastic chip shop-right by the Dorada beach. Next to Mollies Bar called 'The Plaice In The Sun', up the side by the cycle hire shop. Fish chips n mushy peas with a pint of San Miguel sitting in the sun watching people on the beach and in the sea- in November! Pop in and say hello to Jeff from up north!

The hotel entertainment not great but nightlife in Irish bars by Playa Blanca beachfront a must!. A trip to the market Wednesday and Saturday is good. But not all stalls there both days. We will be returning again for the winter next year - if not credit crunched!

"Possibly The Last Visit"

As you can see from my previous review of the Natura Palace, we did enjoy it enough previously to return again 18 months later. I think that will be our last visit to the Natura Palace to be honest.

The hotel is only half full and this had led to some 'penny pinching' taking place. For starters, there is no air-conditioning in any public place, except the dining room in the evenings. Even the dining rooms air con at the Natura Palace goes off around 90 minutes before the end of service! Sitting in a stuffy bar and entertainment room in July is no joke!

Other cost reductions include the removal of fresh fruit at breakfast, it's available in the evenings, but not in the mornings. The weekly gala dinner has been discontinued despite being included in the tour operators particulars relating to the Natura Palace.

The entertainment is of a mixed standard, ranging from a 'Riverdance' show, which was good, down to 3 blokes showing a few birds and then cashing in on a photo shoot at the end of their 'show'. No entertainment at all on a Sunday, when you consider that this hotel is in a semi remote location, this is unacceptable to be honest.

21st centaury, and you still need to purchase access to the internet. They do have WiFi, but it's encrypted to deny holidaymakers the chance to connect. Well done the management of the Natura Palace for wrecking what was a good hotel. We returned this time, but don't count on us returning again!

"Good Hotel For Couples"

We bought this holiday as a late deal from the Thomson website and were not disappointed. The hotel is officially rated four stars, and it was well worth the money that we paid. It wasn't exactly a cheap holiday as last minute deals go, but it was well worth the money.

We have been to Lanzarote on many occasions since 1989 and I can honestly say that this hotel is the best of the bunch so far. We had a sea view and view of the pool from our room. The room itself was spacious and clean and had everything that we required to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The room had a shower, air conditioning, minibar, bath, hairdryer, twin beds and a television. If you wanted to use the minibar as a personal fridge there was a charge of nine euros per week.

The food at this hotel was a good quality and plentiful with show cooking in both the morning and evening dining sessions. Prices for drinks at the bar and in the restaurants were very reasonable.

The only area I can find fault with at this hotel is the standard of the evening entertainment which was a variable quality. Some shows were very good indeed, while others amounted to a karaoke session by a group of women. No entertainment was provided on a Sunday evening, which was a little disappointing from a four star hotel. When the evening show had concluded, the animation team would finish off evening by playing a selection of poor quality songs, which incredibly contained a number by Gary Glitter. Hardly family entertainment!

With the exception of the poor quality entertainment I would still recommend this hotel and return to it in the future.

"We Will Be Back"

Just arrived back from a weeks holiday in Lanzarote, at the Natura Palace Hotel in Playa Blanca.

The hotel is a four star hotel & well deserves all 4 stars. It is spacious, clean and very well run. The room we had was large & very comfortable.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent.

The only downside, and a small one at that, was the evening entertainment, as it was little lacking and I would have prefered it to have started a little later, around 22.00, instead of 21.30. this would give you time to complete your meal in the dining room, without being rushed.

We will definitely be going back to the Natura Palace for a future holiday.
