Broncemar Beach Apartments

Broncemar Beach is a fabulous complex in the resort of Costa Caleta. Ideally located for the main beach and all of the resorts facilities.

The apartments are very spacious, and have all that is required to have an enjoyable, relaxing holiday in the Canary Islands. Located just 300 yards from the beach and only 50 yards from all the cafes, bars and restaurants in the area.

Facilities include swimming pools; sun terrace, poolside snack bar, buffet restaurant, a la carte restaurant, bar & shop.

"It's Gone Downhill"

Third trip to Broncemar Beach and very sad to say we certainly won't be returning.

We went all inclusive this time but the food was not good. Loads of repetition, very little variety and no air con working in the restaurant. As such we eat out most of the time apart from a few breakfasts and a couple of lunches. There are some great restaurants nearby so they saved the day.

No air-con in the room caused some uncomfortable nights but eventually managed to hire a fan from the hotel once I had crawled up the waiting list. The entertainment team as ever were great fun and the hotel staff were polite and friendly.

Finally, the rooms and most of the grounds need some serious work. The area around the pool is like an ice-rink so be warned. I lost count of the number of people I saw fall over. Such a shame it's gone downhill.

"Broncemar Beach Location Very Central"

Found the Broncemar Beach location very central, was in walking distance to everything.

Facilities very good, housekeeping very good. We had a two bedroom apartment which size wise was fine, the apartment was a bit old fashioned but was not a problem. But we found that we really would need air conditioning, was very hot.

Didn't realise how near to the airport the Broncemar is, there were planes flying over head at times and were quiet noisy, but you get used to this.

We did self catering and ate out in Caleta de Fuste so can't comment on the all inclusive side of hotel. Would have no hesitation about staying here again, but would want air conditioning, which was not available.

"Complex Is In A Great Location"

Spent a week here at the Broncemar and had a lovely time.

Rooms are very spacious and have everything you need (although the bathroom had no soap which I found unusual). All rooms have a kitchenette although we were all inclusive and didn't need a kitchen we found the fridge came in handy.

Complex is a bit of a maze but you soon get used to it. We never had a problem getting a sunbed around the pools, it didn't matter what time you went to the pool there were plenty and the pool area gets the sun all-day. Whilst we were there 1 of the pools was shut for 2 days, a bit annoying as the main pool was packed but it didn't spoil the holiday.

Food was nice, we were all inclusive and found there was plenty of choice, although don't leave it too late for going for meals as they don't replace the food late on and you are very limited for choice. Evening entertainment was poor and if I wasn't on All Inclusive, we wouldn't have stayed in the complex. Entertainment was very amateur and definitely for the children.

Complex is in a great location, close to the beach, shops and bars. We had a lovely time here and although we wouldn't go back I'd def recommend it.

"Great Hotel Enjoyed By Families"

Great hotel enjoyed by families but has areas quiet enough for a quiet break even in peak season, we went Easter weekend.

The apartment we got overlooked the three pools, and I would be proud to have my house a clean and tidy as this hotel. Food was excellent fresh vegetables and meat dishes every day, staff very courteous and spoke great English, a shining example all hotels should aspire to.

Worth paying extra to stay there over nearby hotels, would not hesitate to return. Thanks to the manager who is very hands on in the day to day and to all his staff.

"No Hesitation About A Return Visit"

I have stayed in Aparthotel accommodation on many occasions over the years, both as an all inclusive and self catering guest in the Canaries, and Balerics and find them generally to be more than adequate. The Broncemar in my opinion ticked most of the relevant boxes.

On this occasion I was part of a couple, so was pleased not to see the place over run with kids. However, there were a handful but seemed to be well behaved. We had one of the ground floor self catering apartments, although there was no air conditioning or heating in the rooms but didn't feel the need for either. If guests did feel the need for extra warmth I was informed there was plenty of spare bedding available!! Not so sure how you'd keep cool though in the peak season (we enjoyed 25c).

The rooms were adequately furnished, there was a TV (1 Euro per hour), telephone, (which I found to be faulty, but one call to reception and it was changed within a couple of hours), microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, usual 2 ring cooker/oven, though personally I wouldn't particularly want to cook a meal on it.

Towells and bedding were changed three times during the week.

The only 2 negative things worth mentioning was on 3 occasions during the week we noticed very small ant like insects in the kitchen area, barely visible to the naked eye, (but that was probably due to me being a little forgetful in wiping down the work top after breakfast! :( ) and the patio sliding door was a little tight to open and close.

I found all the staff to be helpful, and hard working, in particular the reception. The use of 3 computers in the reception area was particularly useful, 1 Euro for 10mins. I noticed them to be in use more than you would expect throughout the week, with all ages!

There were 2 reasonably sized pools, well maintained and clean, though a little slippy round the edges, but was adequately signed with warnings, you were also advised by the Thomas Cook reps as well. But to be fair there were also limited wooden boards to walk on.

To sum up, we found it to be more than adequate for most requirements of families, and couples alike, bearing in mind this is a 3 star rated Aparthotel, I would have no hesitation about a return visit.

"We Will Definitely Be Back"

Stayed with a group of golfers from the 24th Nov for 2 weeks found the accommodation excellent. The apartments were clean and the staff very friendly and courteous.

Lots of good restaurants and bars. The time of the year we were there is usually very quiet but we found plenty to do lots of places to visit and would highly recommend it as a golfing destination. There are 2 courses with a third opening soon.

We will definitely be back.

"Sun Loungers Have Seen Better Days"

We arrived back in Birmingham on 18th September to better weather than what we had in Fuerteventura! We were a large group of 4 adults and 6 children and despite the poor weather we still had a great time.

The pools were good although they could have been a little warmer, but as it was unseasonably cold the management probably got caught out. The sun loungers have seen better days and could do with replacing.

The on site shops, bar, tavern were all good value for money. Prices are pretty similar to the shops in the resort.

The entertainment staff entertained anyone from around 11.30 until 11pm with the usual poolside quiz and water polo in the daytime to dancing and singing during the evening time. The children's club was great for the kids in our party due to the weather being so bad.

During September the resort was quiet as the main holiday season has finished, however we found it had all that we needed to enjoy our holiday.

"Holiday Was The Most Wonderful Fortnight"

This was our first visit to the Broncemar Beach. I also travelled with with my brother-in-law, sister in law who had been before! She had worried for the 3 months prior to the holiday that we wouldn't enjoy ourselves. I'm pleased to say that she needn't have worried at all, as our holiday was the most wonderful fortnight we have had in ages. I really can't fault anything with the Broncemar.

Accommodation was excellent, maids in every day except Tuesday's and Thursday's. You get a big terrace area and although the apartment was quite humid, we had plenty of small windows to allow a cool breeze to pass through the apartment.

Food was good, with a large selection. Something for everyone and anyone in my opinion.

"Did Enjoy Our Holiday On Fuerteventura"

We had read the reviews about the Broncemar Beach, which impressed us and we were very excited to go. We have been to this island on several occasions so we knew what to expect regarding the weather, atmosphere etc.

But unfortunately we were disappointed at the standard of the Broncemar Beach. This was our experience, read on!

When we arrived late in the evening, nobody was available to guide us to our apartment, when we eventually found our apartment after 25 minutes, we were too tired to get something to eat. Fortunately we had some bottled water with us so we didn't have to go out and get provisions that night.

Once we had unpacked we we found an uninvited guest in our apartment! My wife got rid of that, but still found some other insects. We didn't get any clean linen until for 5 days!

Despite all this, we actually did enjoy our holiday on Fuerteventura.

"Eating Out Was Very Reasonable"

Apartments were clean and tidy. The rooms were cleaned almost every day with the bed linen change 3 times per week.

Pool area was great, with no trouble getting sun beds, but as said before, they do need replacing now.

We didn't bother with any of the evening entertainment as we were on a "Self Catering Holiday" and choose to eat out in the evenings and combine the evening with a stroll along promenade.

Eating out was very reasonable. We paid about 70 euros for 4 meals, 2 adults and 2 kids meals and desserts with about 3 or 4 rounds of drinks and a bottle of wine.

The beach is "man made" and thus very gently shelving and very calm. Great for the children.
