Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort & Spa
Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort & Spa was formerly known as the Hacienda Tropical. This resort is only a short drive from Puerto Plata. This Mediterranean-style resort is located directly on Cofresi Beach and provides guests with a wide array of bars, restaurants and large swimming pools.
The reception combines sophistication with the charming, natural elements of a hacienda in a harmonious blend of colours, light, and space. Every feature of the resort is conveniently located around this hotel, including all beach and nightlife activities. The seven buildings, which constitute the Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort & Spa, are low-level Mediterranean structures that comfortably blend in with the surroundings.

My daughter and I chose this resort for a total chill-out holiday and that is what we got. On arrival our room was good but overlooking an area that was undergoing work, we asked to be moved and were put in room overlooking pool next day.
Hotel is being upgraded so part of it was closed but this didn't spoil the holiday in any way.
Thought the food was fine, plenty of variety with the different restaurants we could visit.
Yes, the electricity and water went off from time to time, but no big deal. Staff were very friendly and helpful, never had to wait long for our drinks at the bar or for service at dining areas.
We did have about 6 days when there was heavy rain at times, the other days were glorious. we didn't venture far outside the hotel complex apart from a monster truck safari which was well worth the money although we booked with our rep and think we could have got it cheaper. Also a trip into Puerto Plata to visit the rum factory, amber factory etc. was interesting.
Should have gone to Oceanworld which is only a short walk away but didn't get round to it, too busy relaxing. No trouble getting beds round the pool. Brought over 200 dollars back with me as not a lot to spend your money on, unless you go for all the local art work.
Would be happy to go again.
